NASOS successfully organized GOT Training V
The Vietnam National Southern Oil Spill Response Center (NASOS) successfully organized the 5th training on oil spill response (GOT Training V) in accordance with the annual implementation program of the Joint Statement and Framework Programme for Joint Oil Spill Preparedness and Response in the Gulf of Thailand in Can Tho city from April 17th – 19th 2012, Vietnam. The training welcome 100 delegates who were representatives from: Vietnam National Committee for Search & Rescue (Vinasarcom), Viet Nam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), Maritime Department (Ministry of Transportation), provincial Departments of Natural Resources & Environment of 14 provinces/cities in Southern Vietnam; subsidiaries of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVEP, PV Oil, PETEC, PV Power, Ca Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer Management Board, PV Drilling, Research and Development Centre for Petroleum Safety and Environment); relevant ministries/ agencies and National Regional Oil Spill Response Centers.
The course has provided participants with skills, useful knowledge both in theory and practice. Especially, the attendants had chance to take part in a table-top exercise at class and visit infrastructure, oil spill equipments and witness the river oil spill and firefighting drill of PV Oil Mekong. The training has left a good impression on trainees coming from State management agencies, 14 provinces in Southern region and subsidiaries of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group for the professional organization and training of NASOS.
